Contest Rules
•Only one (1) prize will be awarded per family and/or household during each specific contest.
•You may only win one (1) prize every sixty (60) days.
•WAVE 89 reserves the right to extend the sixty (60) day rule to the length of specific contest.
•Prizes are non-transferable, no substitutions are permitted.
•Prizes are offered as is with no written or express warranty.
•Contest winners must be 18 years or older. WAVE 89 reserves the right to change the age limit for specific contests.
•Wave 89 is not responsible for delivery of prize to winner.
•Calling WAVE 89 or entering any contest on the station’s web site constitutes prior permission to use your name, character, photograph, voice and likeness in connection with promotion of any and all contests on WAVE 89 and waives any claim or royalty, right or remuneration for such use.
•WAVE 89 reserves the right to supplement or change contest rules at any time.
•The resale or auction of WAVE 89 complimentary prizes or tickets will result in the disqualification for all future contests.
•All decisions of WAVE 89 are final.
• Winners must appear in person with proper identification to claim prize at the station within 30 days, or prize will be forfeited. Prizes cannot be mailed out to winners. Any winner under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All prizes not picked up within thirty (30) days of the date won will be forfeited.
• All prizes must be picked up at AFN Okinawa from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. (Please call ahead for holiday and summer hours.)
• Proper ID must be presented when picking up a prize and a standard release form must be completed and signed.
• No cash equivalent will be awarded for any contest prize.
• Participants and winner(s) must be located on Okinawa under the Status of Forces Agreement.
Audience Information (Audience Size)
We serve an audience of approximately 55,000 service members, their families, civilians, contractors, and retirees on eleven different military installations island wide (Ref. FY08 2nd Qtr. Strength Report). Our FM and AM signal, as well as our Pacific TV channel, is also seen by our shadow audience consisting of approximately 1.3 million Okinawa residents. Our audience can call anytime if they want help and we try to accommodate all requests. We remain open to all spot ideas. We also try to work closely with sister service PAOs to help stay connected on story ideas and current issues related to service members on Okinawa.
